This common phrase originated from the book of Matthew and explains the significance of a red sky at night.  A red sky at night is a shepherd’s delight because it signifies that the forecast for the next day will be fair or fine.

A red sky at night is indeed a marvelous sight to behold.   It literally takes centre stage and dominates the landscape.  This is an abstract interpretation of  this heavenly display.
