ARTIST STATEMENT Gradually building up layers and intervals of rest and reflection, back and forth until something begins to emerge. Whilst the abstract nature of this work is inherently ambiguous; it speaks to me metaphorically of a place of refuge. A safe space; a shelter from incoming storms. Unwavering, not tossed to and fro by the wind, no shadow of turning.
